On September 30, 2025, we celebrated seniors from Ploiești with a dance workshop led by Petrișor Ruge, designed in an accessible format that encouraged active participation and movement at everyone's own pace.
The event was part of the Zile cu Sens – Artă în Mișcare program, dedicated to active aging, in which seniors are invited to take part in social, cultural, and creative activities.
In Ploiești, the gathering brought together people from the community, in a space where movement became an occasion for energy, interaction, and well-being.
Participants gradually got involved, gained confidence, and found their rhythm, each in their own way. The atmosphere built up naturally, and in the end what remained was the joy of having been together.
The event was organized by Asociația POT SĂ AJUT, with the support of Asociația Provident pentru Educație and Provident Financial România, as part of the Invizibilii program.
Why it matters
In Romania, more than 1.2 million seniors are at risk of poverty and social exclusion.
Beyond limited resources, one of the biggest challenges remains social isolation.
Through the Zile cu Sens program, we create simple but valuable contexts in which people move, interact, and reconnect.

About Artă în Mișcare
The event in Ploiești opened the marathon organized for the International Day of Older Persons, held across several cities in Romania.
Nationwide, more than 800 seniors took part in activities built around movement, art, and social interaction.
Impact

Movement, interaction, and experiences shared with younger generations help them feel active, connected, and less alone.
