Legea sponsorizării (Romania's Sponsorship Law)

Legea sponsorizării lets you decide what happens to part of the taxes the state collects from you for the current year. Specifically, 20% of your corporate income tax, up to 0.75% of your turnover. Your donation involves NO extra cost to you - it's deducted from the tax you owe, and we'll allocate it in full to the cause you support.

It's very simple:

• Calculate the amount corresponding to 20% of your tax
• Download the sponsorship contract template
• Fill in the contract and send it to [email protected]
• Pay the amount stated in the contract by bank transfer

If you didn't make any sponsorships last year, or didn't reach the maximum threshold set by law (20% of income or corporate tax, but no more than 0.75% of turnover), this year you can use Formular 177 to ask ANAF to redirect the unallocated amount to an NGO on your behalf. Any company in Romania that paid income or corporate tax for the previous fiscal year can take advantage of this opportunity.

By way of exception to the usual provisions of the Fiscal Code, the deadline for submitting Formular 177 to redirect corporate income tax for the previous year is June 25 of the current year, per OUG no. 153/2020, together with the provisions of the Fiscal Code. More details here. To submit Formular 177 to ANAF, you need a signed sponsorship contract with an NGO that has a registration number.

Attention! Formular 177 can be submitted to ANAF no later than the deadline for filing annual tax returns.
