Meaningful Days Bucharest

We continue doing good deeds for seniors with an event full of energy, bringing together 75 seniors from DGASPC Sector 6. On May 16th, at the Centrul de Recreere și Dezvoltare Personală “Conacul Golescu Grant” in Bucharest, we organized the 3rd edition of Zile cu Sens — this time a gathering that brought together 100 participants, young people and seniors, for a memorable experience.

In a society where we too often forget how much presence matters, we created a space where people found each other again. We danced, hugged, socialized, and filled up on plenty of good energy.

The event was organized by Asociația POT SĂ AJUT, with the support of Asociația Provident pentru Educație and Provident Financial România, as part of the Invizibilii program, which supports the social inclusion and well-being of pensioners in the community, nationwide.

It wasn't about perfect choreography. It was about people.

We were joined by Wilmark, choreographer, dancer, and promoter of an active, healthy lifestyle, who reminded us through dance that doing good comes from the heart. With his warm, open energy, Wilmark managed to create a space where every person felt encouraged to move — at their own pace, in their own way, without pressure, without judgment. It was a meeting between people who, perhaps for the first time in a long while, felt truly seen.

Teddy, ambassador of good deeds

MC and ambassador of good deeds, Teddy (Toader Păun) chose to stay close to vulnerable communities and turn time spent together into moments that matter. A man in search of people, experiences and places #DeMilioane, Teddy stands by us as we do #WeCareTogether for seniors and single-parent families.

About presence and connection

With Teddy - Toader Păun as host and good-deeds ambassador, we started with fun exercises that brought all of us, young and old, closer together. For the first time, we saw how you can hug a sea of people 😊

Then Wilmark filled the room with energy, turning everything into a space of pure joy. He reminded us that dance isn't about age, but about the freedom to be exactly who you are and the energy you bring to the moment. Together, Wilmark and Teddy, alongside the volunteers, managed to turn an ordinary day into a space of belonging. A place where seniors felt seen and appreciated.

Why gatherings like this matter

According to the Invizibilii study, there are over 1.2 million pensioners in Romania at risk of poverty and social exclusion. Many live alone. On low incomes. Without access to services or technology, without support. For many, leaving the house is the exception. And interactions with others — a rarity.

Zile cu Sens responds to these needs in a simple, human way: by offering a place where you can come without feeling out of place, where it doesn't matter how well you dance or how much you know, but the fact that you showed up. That you're there.

For participants, every edition means a space where seniors socialize without pressure, learn useful things — through digital education and online safety workshops — get gentle, age-appropriate exercise, and step out of isolation, at least for a few hours.

Volunteering from the heart: the experience of Provident România employees

At this edition of Zile cu Sens, the volunteers were Provident employees themselves — people who don't just support projects from the office, but choose to be present wherever good is happening. For many of them, it was an emotional experience, different from any ordinary workday. They danced with the seniors, had fun, and listened to them.

There were moments when they discovered just how much presence really matters — a simple but profound gesture, through which you can bring meaning into someone's life.

This day wasn't just about dance, but about humanity and solidarity — values that Provident employees demonstrated through small gestures with a big impact. Thank you for being with us, for making room for empathy in a fast-paced world, and for turning an afternoon into something memorable.

We continue together, step by step

The messages we received showed us how much this day of movement and dance mattered. Seniors felt seen, appreciated, and encouraged to follow their own pace toward an active, meaningful life. Many of them told us they feel more energetic, more confident, and can't wait for the next gathering.

Zile cu Sens is about people, about trust, dignity, and a better life. About how much we can learn from one another, no matter our age.
